2 Buck Chuck

We don't have a Trader Joe's, so I've never tried this wine for myself.  My grandmother is going to pick some up for us for the wedding though since it's so cheap.  So, those who have had it, please tell me which ones you'd pick to go with this menu?  We're getting one kind of white, one kind of blush, and one kind of red.

Spring salad
Chicken parmesan pasta dish
Roast beef with garlic mashed potatoes and country green beans

I'd definitely go with a cabernet for the red.  I'm no wine expert, but cabernet goes well with both red meat and pasta.

Shaw doesn't make a blush. I really like the Shiraz for a red and even though I do like their chardonnay I'd get the sauvignon blanc since a lot of people don't like the oakiness of chardonnay.

We did Shaw at our wedding btw, it's not available in TN so most of our guests had no idea it was cheap. We had lots of people tell us it was awesome.

Yea, it's not in FL either, so no one will have any clue the price.

I could have sworn that I saw somewhere that they make a white zinfandel.

Well hell, according to wikipedia they sure do. Ok, I must just mentally block out white zins when I go shopping .

Haha...it's my fave so I always pay attention to who makes blush.

our favorite red from trader joes is the Montepulciano. We serve it to guests no matter what we're having for dinner because its a real crowd pleaser and goes with everyrthing.
