I hate that adam works late nights on fridays, we cant watch it together. We watched the first two episodes because he was on vacay and he really liked it :(
  • Darnnit! I keep forgetting about it. What's happening? We don't have a TV in our room anymore and I'm too lazy to get up and go to the living room
  • mike loves jamie.  he is one of his favorite chefs.  i love how real he is.  i'm not always a huge fan of his food.  but i love how rustic he is.  he's brilliant!

mike hasn't seen any episodes yet, so now that we have pvr he can watch it.

Hes apologizing to the students for the french fry thing, and giving a speech about why his food will make them healthier.
  • Hm. Maybe I can stream it from Hulu through Netflix...

I absolutely LOVE jamie, especially on jamie at home - I love how rustic his cooking on that show is, how simple it is and he just throws it together but it looks delicious. I also like how he shows how to garden what he is cooking. Ive been watching him for years, he is just... real. He seems like a great guy.
  • I just turned it on.  I am fascinated by this show for some reason.  I do love me some french fries though...

  • yeah, he's wonderful.  mike has a lot of his books and lots of stuff doesn't appeal to me.  i admire how rustic he is.  he's not fancy schmancy like ramsay et al.  i respect that.

  • Kelly, how old is your english bulldog? Reminds me so much of mine...just stares at the ball. It's like he's thinking "so close, yet so far away"

He isnt an ass like ramsey either. I know ramsey is good but he is such an ass about it - though I know a lot of head chefs can be like that.

Thats SO awesome that everyone is embracing his meal. That looks delicious.
  • Most chef's are like that.  Mike used to work with a chef like that.  Big ego.  Complete douche if you ask me.  But, he loved it.  He got yelled at all the time, but had never been happier at a job.  How does that make sense.  He is loving his new job now though.

  • He's almost 5.  Mr. Beefy is special.  He loves to chase the ball, brings it back, but won't give it to you.  Aww he's such a good boy when he's not forgetting that he's 90 pounds.  How old is yours?

I just cant understand how anyone would not welcome a change like this, or see the good in it, I just cant see why you would fight it so much or be so obtuse about childrens needs.
  • yeah, things are good! once we're in the new house and neighbourhood i'm hoping to find a new job too.  i'm thinking of maybe going back to hair.  then things will be super awesome!  i don't want to commute to downtown.  not. fun.

  • Well, that's the huge problem is this country.  It's amazing what people feed their kids without any thought.  Nebb - is childhood obesity as big a problem in Canada as in the US?  I work in surgery - we had an 8 year old girl recently who weighed 160 pounds.  8 years old!

  • But this was on last week also.  Same thing two weeks in a row?

i love the  show but ...

I live in one of the fattest cities in canada or ontario, so its just as bad here. I live across the street from my old highschool and on the same block are THREE pizza places, a chinese restaurant, a burger joint, and a starbucks. I think its all of north america that has this problem.

He'll be 2 in August. He's such an AW. I've kicked him out of the bedroom twice tonight because as soon as I show him attention, he's all up in my face begging for more.
