I learned something new today.  Last night on Big Bang Theory, Sheldon said something about the Zoot Suit Riots being race riots.  I had no idea what they were since all I really know is the song from the 90s so I Googled and learned all this:

What an f-ed up thing to happen!  You learn something new every day I guess.  Now I can't the song out of my head.

Gotta love Wikipedia.  I like going and clicking 'Random' and learning new crazy things.  There's so much I don't know (haha, obviously).

Yeah, the racism in the LAPD goes way, way back. Before OJ and before the Watts Riots. In fact, I think LA has (or had until recently) the second most corrupt police force in the country. After New Orleans.

Oh yeah, I definitely knew that.  These riots were precipitated by the Navy and Marines though, just carried out with protection of the LAPD.  Still crazy.

Side note: I loved when Sheldon had Martha going, thinking she was going to get lucky, and he shut the door and went to Leonard's room. Classic. But I found it odd that they didn't cast Winnie as Winnie, since they've mentioned her before.
