A good friend of mine just emailed me saying she had finally put up her wedding website. Now i've known this girl for about 20 years, i thought i knew her well. So i go to the website and start clicking on the tabs. Under ceremony it says "The ceremony will be held at X and will begin promptly at 4:45. It will only be 15 minutes and then the reception will start 5-ish in the building next to X. Just a heads up, it will end at 11pm and we will be serving hors d'oeuvres only." My first issue. The majority of family and friends are driving up that day (3 hours) and staying at an inn. The actual location is about 45 minutes from the closest inn. So we are supposed to eat "dinner" at 3:30 in the afternoon and thats it?
Then i see a tab that says "Alternate Registry" and i'm like WTF is an alternate registry? And in it is a picture of the house they are about to close on with this little ditty attached: Because at first we lived in sin, we've got the sheets and a rubbish bin, A gift from you would be swell, but we'd prefer a donation to our wishing well..
Now im a little PMSy today. And we are trying for a baby so i'm even grumpier than usual. But am i wrong to be annoyed at this and not want to go?
