So I REALLY REALLY want to get a caricature of us, in our wedding day attire. Caricatures sort of have a personal meaning to us and I want to suprise my hubby with one SO much.

Well Obv I need to find someone who will draw it off pictures. Ok fine. So the first company I go with, I pay and they tell me I have to wait 10 days. ugh. Then I go to my bank, and find out they charged me an $8.00 fee for an international processing. Yup the people I had paid to do the caricature were from some international. So I canceled that order, and am awaiting a refund.
 
Then I found this really nice guys website, talked over with him what I wanted etc, paid him, just got the caricature and it is horrible. So completely un flattering and ugh, I could go on and on....


So my question is, has anyone ever done this before, and do you recommmend someone to do it for me that I can rely on!

    we are having a caricature artist at our reception. He is a good family friend and very respected in his business (he does lots of other art as well). If you are interested, email me at gilhooly.colleen@gmail.com. I DO NOT WORK FOR HIM, WITH HIM, ETC!!! I am 100% not a vendor of any sort, I just like his work. :)

    we have had 3 done before, and they are sily and of course that isn't how we normal look but this one, like, he gave me like 5 chins..... really?

    I'm not a fan of the big head-tiny body caricatures. I had some art done as a gift to my husband, but I used a guy who draws in a comic book style (H is a fan of comics and wrestling; the artist does art for Chikara wrestling in the style of comic book covers). He's in Canada, but he doesn't send a hard copy; I got a hi-res file and I had it printed and framed.

    Just to give you an idea...ours is the first one; the other two were inspiration pictures. H is a big Spider-Man fan, so it was perfect for us. If you want his contact info, let me know.

    oh my gosh i never ever thought to do this, husband is  a huge batman fan so this would be AMAZING. I'd love the contact info, and if you dont mind me asking, how much did you pay?
