Would it be wrong to only register for gifts $50 and up?

Thanks so much for all the responses!

We have been living together for 3 years so we have lots of the little things and the only things we need are the more expensive things like pots/pans, toaster, wine glasses and plates.

We are registering for only a handfull of things that we actually need none of which are less than $50.00.

I dont want to put things I dont need on the registry that are $15-20 just for the sake of having something affordable.

BUT I dont want to look like a snob. Sooooo.... what to do.
