i've had an awesome idea for a halloween costume. i'm gonna do it whenever i end up feeling thin enough to put on a halloween costume. a bee costume with a troll wig. frisbee.

Fishy - I told my dad your dad's hip story.  I think it made him feel optimistic.

Oh for sure! The hardest thing for him was moving to sleeping in a bed. He has one of those chairs that go from sleeping, sitting, and standing position that he said made his life WAY easier. He's now sleeping in a bed.

But for perspective, he got his new hip on a Monday (august 7th), he went home on Friday, and he was able to drive to Fargo on Sept. 5th for Liam's birthday (2.5 hour drive).

He met me and Scooter in the cities last weekend for the Twins game, and was able to sit through the whole game very comfortably.

I can't tell you how many times he's told me it's the best thing he's ever done.

He went back to his private practice work the Wednesday after he got home.

It's been SO GOOD to see him in such good spirits and pain free!

Night_Sprite

We had a family member by marriage who donated a node of his liver to his brother who was in liver failure.  He unexpectedly passed away about a week after and now the brother isn't doing well.  I think that has made my dad nervous.

frisbee= awesome!

We have an adult party to go to. Mr B is going as a bee keeper and I'm torn between going as a flower or a bee.  If all three of us were together, the flower would make more sense but I'm thinking I will end up being a  bee also.

He also wants to do this sometime:  (keeping in mind he's a science teacher)  wear a Frankenkstein face and an Albert Einstien  wig.    FrankEinstien.

Sprite! I can see how he'd be nervous, but I think my dad would go and get 5 more new hips if he could. He feels like a million bucks!
