diabetics please give your advice

I had a blood test done last Monday and my glucose was 7 points too high. I've had some numbness so they tested me again Monday morning. I'm really worried because my bloodwork hasn't showed up online yet when the first test showed up less than 24 hours after online. Fyi this is me being tested to find out if I have it. How long did ur second tests take to come back?

I didn't know they could post stuff like that online! Is this the test where they make you drink the nasty orange drink?

Here's my little tidbit of help for what it's worth. I got tested for diabetes a few years ago because I had a lot of the symptoms--they had tested my blood with the pin prick at the Dr a couple times..it was high so they refered me to a hospital medical center to do a diagnostic test. This involved fasting and then drinking a ton of orange liquid loaded with sugar and then 5 blood draws.

I want to say that the results of that test took like a week. So if that's the test that you are refering to I wouldn't worry about it. You can always call your doctor and ask when to expect results.

Depending on the set up at your doctor's office, simple blood tests might be done on site but more advanced tests might be sent off to a bigger lab.  So the turnaround time might be a day or two.
