BIL is getting married tomorrow, and I just found out that he and his FI are asking everyone to wear Cincinnati Reds gear. They're having a baseball-themed wedding, and yes, this is the trainwreck wedding I've posted about before (not because it's baseball-themed, but for a myriad of other reasons).
Aside from the fact that I don't like being told how to dress, I'm torn over what to wear. I have plenty of Reds clothes, but they're all really casual.
My parents raised me to think that weddings = suits for men and dresses for women. I cannot wrap my head around wearing what I would wear to a baseball game or a picnic to an actual wedding.
Should I suck it up and wear what they want me to, or should I follow my instinct and dress appropriately for a wedding?
