I'm hoping Mica and anyone else familiar with Catholic rites can help me out. My friend invited me to the baptism of her eight month old son. I received a formal invitation to the baptism and restaurant reception and have already RSVP'd.
Is it appropriate to bring a gift? Is a monetary gift okay (as that's what we usually give each other at weddings)? Anything else a non-Catholic needs to know so I don't accidentally do someting dumb?
