What's up?  H and I spent the day in Copenhagen freezing our butts off.  SO windy.  But, we went to visit the National Museum which was FREE I couldn't believe it.  We only made it through 2 floors before we went to hang out with his boss and his adorable 2 year old son. 

What did you do today?

We just got back from St Tropez and Grimaud.  Weather was gorgeous.  No need for coats at all ;-)

So far today I have run errands and am nursing my sick chinchilla. Now its time to motivate myself to get off my  butt and give our apartment the cleaning it needs.

I frolicked around Target...slowly. I barley had anything in my cart and still managed to spend $100. Now, I'm resting...shopping made me super tired.

Thanks amoro, she looks so miserable. It's like watching a little kid with a cold. She did play with her broom (chew toy) a little bit and came out of her house for an ear scratching earlier though.

Yeah, I remember that from when I had a guinea pig.  When he was sick (which was often) he looked like a little baby.

Rach, it's the easiest thing in the world to spend a lot of money in Target.

Katie - Sorry about your little girl  One question though:  How "close" can you get to a chinchilla?  Do they love you like dogs?  Or like hamsters (not that much)?  Just curious because I've never really interacted with one but they're so cute

Expat, I don't know about a chinchilla, but my guinea pig would go crazy whenever I came home from being away and he would respond to my voice and do special squeaks and hops-- only for me.

MIL and SIL are here until Monday. They are planning to go to the casino later to celebrate SIL's 21st and are trying to convince DH and I to go. I don't like casinos and don't feel like spending money to gamble, eat, or shop.

I also just dropped $$$ at Target.  $120, to be exact.  I went in for toilet paper and laundry detergent and came out with a cart full of crap, including a pet hair vacuum, which I've already used.

In a bit, H and I are going to this meet and greet with the film director Peter Bogdanovich, and then to a screening of his old movie What's Up Doc.

Diamond is like a super prissy cat. She likes to play on you and have you try to win her affection, but definitely not a cuddly creature. That's going to be half the fun of the vet, DH is the only she'll let hold, and even though its a battle royale to get her to hold still.
That being said we've had her for 4 years and I've known her since she was just a baby (I originally sold her to DH when we worked at the pet store). Plus they live for 15+ years so they definitely create a void when they aren't their usually perky/crazy selves.

My FBIL and his GF lost another set of keys.  So we have 4 people living here and 1 set of keys.  I am counting the days until they move out.

So I could't leave the house due to lack of keys.

I went to the grocery store and bought 27 pounds of whole boneless pork loins for around $48. At $1.78/lb, that's a great deal. I'm cooking for 65 for a dinner, so that seems like a reasonable price to pay, especially considering there is virtually no waste on those suckers. I also took my younger daughter to Pearle Vision to get her a new pair of glasses. The little skunk managed to either lose or break 2 pair in 5 days. <sigh /> At least it had been 18 months since she got her last ones.

It seems to be working perfectly for me today... although evidently, this will no doubt be short lived, going on past experience!

 

Not a lot happening here. It's rather warm already this morning and it's not even 8am yet. H and I are going to go out for breakfast shortly. 

So jealous of the adventures of both you, Amoro, and aMrs!
