Wedding thank you's - Opinions wanted

Hi!

We just got our e pics done and I was wondering what you ladies thought about turning one of the pictures into a postcard for wedding thank you's.  The picture is of FI and I sitting in the sand with "Thank You" written in the sand and I really like how it turned out.

So there's option 1 - Postcard with this as the picture.
2 - picture card inside envelope
or 3 - ditch the picture idea and stick for more traditional thank you cards.

I don't want to wait for wedding pictures to be done... I like prompt thank you's. For example - shower was yesterday - 40 thank you's are going in the mail tomorrow :)

  • It's fine, but write a handwritten personal note on the card. Generic thank yous are a no no.

  • Oh yes! Of course it would be personal and hand written. I am HUGE on thank you notes!
  • Then I think it sounds very nice!

  • I think that's fine as long as you write a personal note.

I'd use envelopes with the photos

  • If by picture card you mean a card with the picture on the front, I pick that.

  • Option two.

Good for you for doing this as part of your e-pic session.  So many brides do this with wedding pics and then the guests have to wait for TY cards.  This way, yours will be ready to go when you need them!1

Agreed. I'd do the more formal picture-in-envelope, and as long as you have the cards ready to go ASAP, pictures are perfectly fine. It's the waiting to get photos back, then get cards printed, then write the TYs, then get them in the mail that annoys people about picture cards, and you've solved the time problem. ;-)
