Invitation Q

This might be dumb, but I have a couple invite questions.

1 There is a couple. The man is a GM, the girlfriend is going to be a bartender at the reception. Do they get an invitation or is that kind of duh. Lol.

2 Another couple question. The girlfriend is a BM, do we send an invite for her boyfriend and their son? We know they are coming, just don't know if it's proper to send out the invitation.

I'm very new to the formality of these things. So thanks in advance everybody!

Re: Invitation Q

  • Anyone that is invited to the wedding gets an invitation.
  • All guests, including your WP, who are invited to your wedding should receive an invitation.

  • we sent invitations to everyone - including the wedding party.

Is there any possibility that you could hire someone else to bartend?  The GMs girlfriend should really be invited with him as a guest.  And to answer your questions, everyone should get an invitation (except true vendors, ie. DJ, caterer)

From the OP we don't know if she made the offer to bartend.
If she did, I see no problem taking her up on it...but she still needs an invite.

  • agreed...everyone should get one...my hair stylist is also a good friend and will be doing our hair the day of, and I am giving her an invite with a plus one even though she will already be there.

  • Also, and this was one that I missed, don't forget to extend an invitation to the wedding and reception to your officiant and the person's partner.  Apparently, this is good form.  Espcially if they are close personal friends of the family.  I discovered this in some post somewhere and realized that by not including him and his wife in the invitations, I would have made an "oops"
