So here's the story: My FI and I called a bunch of different hotels in the area to see if we could block off rooms. 2 hotels are a 2 night minimum, 2 hotels are booked, 1 hotel will release the block 8 weeks before the date (before invites go out), 1 hotel has $250 non-refundable fee, 1 hotel (the one we wanted to stay at) won't rent rooms to the wedding party, and the rest won't block off the rooms. The wedding is in Gloucester Mass and getting into off season (mid-october), so there should be plenty of rooms available. Should I just forget the whole blocking off rooms and have guests find rooms on their own? What do you ladies think?
