I know that I don't need to make a decision on this yet, but it's something I've been wondering about...
My e-ring is a family ring.  It belonged to my Fi's mom.  I also have my mom's first wedding band.  They match surprisingly well.  I'm debating about getting them soldered together.  I'd like them to be, but I'd like them to be passed down when we have kids.  I just don't know if my (hypothetical) son's future Fi would like having her e-ring and wedding band put together when she gets it...Maybe I'm thinking about it to much....
What do you think?

Rings unsolder just fine! My rings are my grandmother's and they were teeeny tiny and soldered together. H paid like $250 for the sizing the unsoldering.

If my rings weren't soldered I'd go mad. They match, but don't have anything physically holding them together and they aren't "fitted" to each other. I looooooove that they're soldered

That's what I'm thinking will happen.  I'll go crazy...they look beautiful together...let me see if I can find a picture...

Having my rings soldered would be nice because it would stop me having to "match them up" all the time (band is a half-eternity), but when we go skiing or when I have a baby I'll want to wear just my band so I decided not to solder them.
