wedding postponed stuff

So we've had to postpone our wedding due to financial difficulties and all our Save the Dates have already gone out.

How do i go about telling people. i would like to send a change of date postcard but im not sure how to do it....

thanks in advance

Re: wedding postponed stuff

  • Send out a postcard saying something to the effect of "Due to unforeseen occurrences, the wedding of Bride and Groom will not happen on the date scheduled.  Instead it will take place on X date."  If you don't have another date selected yet, you can leave that off.

And betrothed, I'm disgusted with most of the comments that you have posted. I don't think I've ever read such judgmental comments in my life. I'm so lucky that the girls I speak to on theknot are nothing like you...I would've never come on here for ADVICE if I would've encountered a big a bitch as you. I genuinely feel awful for your children or your future children, and I think it would be irresponsible of YOU not to invest in their future therapy sessions starting now. Because trust me when I tell you honey, they're gonna need it. ~jcaruncho2010

  • If you have a new date picked out, you could send out cards that say the date has changed.  If you don't have a new date picked out, just send out something that says "The wedding of apfoster and FI has been postponed and will not take place on xyzdate as planned.  Please stay tuned for an invitation in the near future".

I probably wouldn't send save the dates the next time around.  Just send out the invitations.
