Hostess Gift?

I know it's tradition to give the hostess throwing your Bridal Shower a gift, but what kind of gift is typical? My sister is throwing me one, and my fMiL and fGrandma-iL are throwing me another one. What sort of gifts do I give them?

A beautiful candle, good bottle of wine, gift basket, etc. I would give them something a little nicer than what you would give someone for a normal hostess gift when they have you over for dinner.

something small, think of what you would give to your hostess for a weekend.  bottle of wine, pretty candle, african violets, you get the idea

This is my post for what I made on this topic.

After this happened, my FMIL offered to host a shower for me. I got her a picture frame of roses @ TJ Maxx for, like, $6 or so. (my wedding flowers).
