Bachelorette & Shower Hostess Gifts?

Is it expected that the bride give thank you gifts to the hostess(es) of her Bachelorette Party & Shower?

I am unsure as to whether the thank you gifts that I'm giving to my bridesmaids before the wedding also covers their hosting these parties.  Is an additional thank you gift needed during the bachelorette party/shower?

It's not expected, but it's a nice thought, especially for the shower.

For my b-party, which was a trip to Napa, I bought everyone a nice meal and said it was their thank you.  At my shower, I got the hostesses a small thank you gift.  Then I gave all my BMs separate gifts at the RD.

So, yeah, a lot of gifts, but in perspective, they're paying money for the dress/shoes/hotel/transportation to your wedding.  It doesn't have to be anything huge or ornate, just thoughtful.  If money is an issue, at least write a nice thank you card.
