How few people have read classic lit. I mean, not evey one should have read every book... but didn't you at least go to highschool? Like, how can you NOT have read Lord of the Flies or Great Gatsby or something equally as standard.

How many people plan their days around their tv shows, consistantly.... especially reality ones.

Somtimes, when I'm at the library, I miss looking in the old-fashioned card catalogs.

t's amazing that when people are corrected on their spelling or grammar, they get offended and continue in their ways.

In my thinking, that shows me that they're okay with appearing to be stupid.

It also amazes me that parents buy their daughters such slutty clothing and let them wear it out of the house.

Judging from the way people manage their carts in grocery stores, it's amazing that they don't all get in car accidents on the way their.  Stay to the right darn it and don't stop short.

It really is amazing that there is SUCH a lack of general common sense among the general population.

- That so many people still consider accessible healthcare a privilege and not a right

- How much blatant racism and sexism there still is all over "progressive" countries like Canada and the US.

- The negative comments so many people are making about sending money to Haiti when "the economy is so bad here." People disgust me. How can they not comprehend the difference between a poor or underprivileged person, and a person who is literally going to die RIGHT NOW without emergency water, food and medical supplies? The funding for Haiti is not supplying organic veggies and fancy sheets for effs sake, it's providing the rock bottom bare minimum for MILLIONS of people who have absolutely nothing. Gah, I want to explode.

It's amazing to me how many people in Chicago walk down the sidewalk as if there's nobody else on it. Like, when they walk straight ahead and don't step aside at all whenever they're about to walk past somebody.

I used to move aside in my Minnesota Nice sort of way, and now I just smash into them. Poli bumper cars.

I really hate this when it happens at the grocery store. I think the age to buy cold meds is seventeen, and really? I look younger than 17?

It amazes me that I meet so many people who have absolutely no clue at all who Fred Astaire is, and/or have never such phrases as "dance like Fred and Ginger."

Actually, let me rephrase my "fad diets" comment. 

Its amazing to me that people can't grasp the fundamental concepts of weight gain and loss.  How metabolism works, calories in vs calories burned, diets vs lifestyle changes.  It's so simple in it's most basic form, yet tons of people honestly believe that they can eat nothing but carrots for four weeks and they will lose eight and keep it off forever.   It's simply mind boggling to me.

A Friend of mine had 2 cats, Ike and Tina, and they gave them both away after their kid was born because they weren't getting along with the baybeh.
