I went to church on Sunday for the first time in a while to show off my ring and talk to my priest about the premarital counseling. One of the choir members came up to me and said, "So this may be a difficult question, but my daughter is so excited one of her friends is getting married, but she's out of the country in July! Could you move the wedding later?" I told her that, unfortunately, I had already put deposits down, and was unable to do that. She pressed on, saying, "But wouldn't August be so much better?" I reitorated that I was so sorry her daughter would be unable to attend. She looked kinda mad.
The thing is, I consider her daughter an aquaintence, not a friend. She probably wasn't making the cut in my 125 person wedding. This woman also told me a while ago that she was thinking of becoming a wedding planner! I think this is kind of a hilarious situation.
Anyways, just wanted to share.
