My FI and I were talkin about our wedding to his cousin and her daughter yesterday. The daughter is in 9th grade and really looks up to my fiance. He is always joking about how he desn't understand how women get all into planning weddings. Myself included. I acted as if I was mad at him and was telling him all these things I would make him do on our wedding day. Everyone was laughing including the daughter. My FI and I are always joking like this. It's our way of picking on each other.
Well my FMIL gets a phone call from FI's cousin. Apparently the daughter was crying after she left because of how I was yelling at my FI. I was reallly confused because I know I was not yelling even though it was all a joke anyways. I just don't really know how to react with it. I feel like it makes me look like a bad person to the daughter and FMIL since FMIL wasn't there to see it.
What would you do?
