Where the hell do you live?  I want to make sure I never move there. Brrrrr.
  • I'm just dreading the -50 part.
I guess in some parts of Manitoba it's hovering around -48.

  • -2 here in Southern Ontario. Brrrrr!!
  • I really can not even imagine weather that cold.

Our Christmas winds should be arriving soon.  When that happends you will see the crew all wear sweatshirts or jackets while the guests are all in bathing suits and swimming.

That is the coldest I like to be.

What differentiates an average host and a great host is anticipating unexpressed needs and wants of their guests.  Just because the want/need is not expressed, doesn't mean it wouldn't be appreciated.
  •  I work at a school and today we got a snow day so I havnt had to go outside yet!

    Currently in Southern Alberta.

It's my first winter here, but even so far it is a thousand times better than where I used to live.

    Where are you pumpkin?

Yeah. Manitoba winters suck and they last forever. That's my home province. Just moved to Alberta in May.

Manitoba is a heck of a lot better at snow removal though then they are here (even if they do destroy the streets in the process).
  • It's actually 48 F (9 C?) here.  I'll take it.

Yeah, most of my immediate family is still in Winnipeg or near to it.

Of course as a Winnipegger, I took frequent trips to lake country in Ontario (i.e. Kenora and such)! You live in a beautiful area.
  • Eastern Ontario it is -4 which isn't too bad, but my coworkers are heat hogs, no heat gets to the front :(

But the -40 made me think of camping in Nunavut, it was -40 with the wind chill. It was freezing but we had so much fun, oh how it was to be young. Tongue out

Thanks! I really do. I'm just jealous that you're back to -14. We're not going to get that back. Once the -30s are here, they're here to stay.

That's awful.  Just curious, how warm does it get in the summer?
  • Coco- it can get as warm as about 35 C (90-95F?). With the humidty it can feel as warm as +45-50 (this is not often, but has happened). So we still get to enjoy awesome summers.

  • This is the strangest weather ever here where I am in Southwestern Ontario.  I'm right in the middle of snow belt country and there's been next to no snow yet.  By now we've usually got about a foot of snow.  This afternoon it's +7 and raining while the rest of the province is having winter storm warnings.

Yup, as a former 'Pegger, I can empathize. Last winter (when I was still in Winnipeg) was brutal.
