So my FMIL wants to host a shower for me, I gave her a list including pre printed labels of the addresses for her. Well she just gave me an additional list of people to invite and they are people from her church...people who I don't know or have only met once....and they are not and cannot be invited to the wedding...
HELP!!!!!!!
I don't want to offend my FMIL...she is filipino and although she has lived here for like 47 years she still doesn't understand a lot of our customs. It's actually a joke with her I always tell her she can get away with so much becuase she has an accent. But this I don't know if I'm comfortable with receiving gifts from people I really don't know. I think my FMIL is just thinking that this is a woman's brunch and that's it. I'm pretty sure if I approached her about "I hope they don't get offended that I'm not inviting them to the wedding" she will just say "Oh, no, they will understand. They're just my friends I want them to be there at the shower since I'm hosting."
