post bachelorette party?

did you send thank yous to people who attended your bachelorette party?

I mentioned it to someone and they thought it was weird to send thank you notes. Is this weird? I figure ppl take time out of their schedule to buy a gift and attend just for me that the least I could do is send them a thank you?

It's just polite to send a thank you always to those that give you a gift for anything.  It definitely won't hurt.  I've always done thank you cards for any type of G2G/party etc. where gifts are involved.

I didn't have a bachelorette party, but I would think it is strange if I received a formal thank you for giving a slutty gift.  I mean, what would you say?

Thank for the black lace teddy.  I'm looking forward to seducing Bob in it.  He is going to go crazy when he sees me in on the honeymoon!  Thanks so much for attending the bachelorette party and bringing enough penis straws for everyone!

And that's just awkward.  Maybe send an email saying thanks for coming, great to see you, but I wouldn't want a formal note expressing your gratitude for edible panties or whatever.

I just sent a nice email to all the girls who came to mine on Saturday. I don't think a formal thank you card is necessary and seems kind of weird to me.

DD sent thanks yous.  I didn't read them but would guess they thanked the girls for hosting the bachelorette party, for attending, for making it so much for ,and for being such great friends.

But I do think thanking them for slutty gifts would be hilarious.
