We recieved an incredibly generous gift before the wedding. But there was no card and on the registry it lists a name I don't know. (It was amazon, so I think somone borrowed someone else's Prime account).
I had my parents and his parents send out feelers. No results. I thought maybe I could figure out who they were mostly likely to be after all the gifts came in by process of elimination, but the wedding was 4 weeks ago, and there are around 30 couples who didn't send anything, so that doesn't really narrow it down much.
I'm not sure what to do. To just start going through those couples and calling them up and asking, "did you send me that present?" seems really incredibly awkard, and more like an underhanded attempt at asking for a present. (NOT what I want to do).
I'm at a total loss. It's really bugging me that this person sent me this beautiful gift, and I've not sent them any aknowledgement, but I have no idea how to suss out the sender without being really rude to a lot of other people.
Any suggestions?
