I know two couples who have recently broken up and are still friends on FB. It's super awkward and I'm about to hide updates from all parties.
Couple #1 was engaged and had been together for 7 years. They broke up in June. She posts frequent updates on her baby-bump that she concieved with new boyfriend while still engaged to her ex-fiance (who she broke up with via txt). I really hope he at least hides her feeds so he's not reminded of it everyday =(
Couple #2 couple split a few weeks ago. Apparently, she broke it off because she wants to go in her own direction, but she still want to be friends. He wants more and apparently doesn't believe her and/or respect her wishes to be "just friends". He keeps posting things on FB about her and even commented on an old photo of her talking about how beautiful she is and he gets lost in her eyes. He posts public declarations of love on her wall frequently.
Question! Would you remain FB friends with your ex? I have one ex- I approved an add for on FB, but we dated like 6 years ago and we're clearly both over it. We still see eachother on occasion at activities of mutual interest and still have mutal friends. On the other hand there was a guy I dated in HS and we were both super shitty to eachother - I've never felt the urge to have contact with him since.
