Ettiquette and tips on writing reception card

Our reception is not starting immediately after the ceremony.  We are including a reception card with our ceremony invite, but I'm not quite sure exactly how to word it.  We will have cocktails starting at 5:30 then dinner at 6:30.  Is it ok to write something along the lines of the following:
"Please join us for a reception
at half past five o'clock in the evening
location
street address
city, state"
Or do I need to specificically write that cocktails and dinner start at different times?  Also, do I really need to spell out the time?  Can I just do "5:30pm" instead? Or maybe  "5:30 in the evening"??? Any help and tips would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks so much!

You don't need to break down the times.  Just say reception at half after five in the afternoon.  Evening starts at 6:00
