Another program etiquette question

My two female cousins (ages 9 and 10) are going to pass out programs prior to my ceremony/show people where to sit. They are both really excited to do it!

Should I list them in the program since they are technically ushers? It feels strange to call a 9-year-old girl an usher though. Is there another title I could write instead?

    <div>Possibly 'Assistants' of some nature?</div>
  • Do you have actual ushers?  I would just list them as ushers but I would not depend on a 9 or 10 year old to seat people.

    Assistants sounds like hired help.

  • Could you just do a "special thanks" section?
  • We made up the title of "Hospitality Attendant" instead of "Gustbook Attendant" for DH's cousin who served as a greeter.  That might work for your girls.

<div>I think these are good names - program attendant would also work.  Don't call them ushers, since ushers are traditionally adult men.</div>

  • What about "Greeters?" I'm assuming they'll say hello and pass out the programs, so greeter feels appropriate, and has a nicer name.
  • Oh I like greeters! We aren't having actual ushers, just the two girls.
  • I like "Greeters" or "Attendents"
