Groom's Attire

I'm looking for some suggestions for where to shop for groom's attire.  My fiance and I want to avoid the prom look tuxedo with a vest and tie that match the bridesmaids dresses in some shiny fabirc, etc.  We're hoping for nice, subtle patterns.  My fiance wants a suit with wider lapels and a slightly longer jacket than standard, not quite a tux though.  We're not finding what we want at the chain stores like Men's Warehouse.  Any ideas?

I'd love to see these responses cause I'm thinking the same thing. I'm hoping the guys will wear dark grey suits with like, grey ties. Nothing shiny and matching the girls.

What time of day are you getting married? If it is in the afternoon, they can wear a morning suit - think Kate Middleton's wedding.

Did you look at J Crew?  Or maybe look at the department stores like Bloomingdales.

If you're renting I would look at Joseph A. Bank.  They seem to have nice tuxes and suits.  If you're buying you could try Nordstrom.

Jos. A Bank told us they only rented tuxedos, not suits.
