Interfaith Officiants

Hello - Looking to have two officiants for our interfaith wedding.  Our background is jewish and catholic and would be looking for a Rabbi and another officiant.

If you have any suggestions for interfaith officiants in the central/north jersey area, that would be appreciated.  It would also be great if anyone has good feel for prince range for having two officiants it would be helpful.

Thanks!

I am having interfaith officants - a Rabbi and a Priest. We used Interfaithclergy.com and are paying a little more than we would have liked ($1200) but it will be worth at the end of the day.

    Good luck!

I used Rabbi Dennis Tobin.  We didn't have another officiant but he does work with them as well.  He was  $650 and included a Chuppah and unity candle holders if needed.

We had an absolutely wonderful minister for our daughters wedding this past friday, he will do anything you want. Name is Richard Cash (minister4cash.com) and he was fabulous.  Groom was from catholic jewish background and we are methodist.  Everyone loved him.  Very reasonable $450 and easy to work with.

We used Interfaith Clergy (they have a website) - they're a group of like 100 officiants who have all worked together before. We had both a priest and rabbi and spent $1,000. It worked out very well.

We are using Rev. Jill Dillner. She is so sweet and will customize the ceremony how you want it. She is very reasonably priced and gives a lot of attenttion to each bride she works with. I am very happy so far with the choice that we made.

My best suggestion is.....ME! LOL!  I've done many interfaith ceremonies for couples who included elements from their traditions. When that is done well, each family gets to experience something moving and interesting that they may have never seen before (in addition to the marriage of you and your fiance, of course). We can include scripture readings if you' d like, elements like the glass breaking, the "seven blessings" and a chuppa, and you're welcome to write your own vows and pick your own readings.

I have six different officiants who all have a slighly different take on things, but  we are universally dedicated to writing creative, personal, moving ceremonies that will have everyone laughing, crying and wondering why all wedding ceremonies can't be as fun and unique as yours.  My website is www.celiamilton.com and we officiate all over the NY/NJ metro area. I'd be happy to talk with you about your ideas

www.celiamilton.com     Best wishes for a fantastic start to your marriedf life!

we are also catholic and jewish and using a priest from my church (yes, he agreed!) and rabbi bill kurry - kurry charges $650 and is the SWEETEST man alive. He knows many priests who will do interfaith if you don't have one of your own - but it never hurts to ask, if you have a family church or a legitimate parish.
