Would you expect a reply?

So last week I sent one of my vendors an email letting them know that we wanted to move forward with adding something additional to our package and I listed out all the details and price we had talked about. It's about a week later and I haven't gotten a reply back. I know I didn't ask a specific question and it's not going to change our deposit, but wouldn't you think that they would at least reply back and say 'sounds good'? or email me an updated contract?I'm trying to be understanding/patient since it is wedding season and it's not like this is urgent or really requires any work on their part right now. And we're supposed to be meeting with him next week for something else, so I will definitely ask him about it then. But it's just irking me that I haven't gotten any response.

Yes you should get a reply and a revised contract.  Try reaching out again just to follow up.

I would feel the same way you do.  Sometimes it is nice just to get a confirmation that they got it and will move ahead with the changes.  At least you already have an appointment next week, so you don't have to harrass him between now and then.

I agree, I'd expect an "OK" or whatever. Just so you know they got your e-mail and it didn't get lost in transition or anything.   I would call and say something like, "Hey, sorry to bug you, but I just wanted to see if you got my e-mail about XYZ." Maybe throw in something about your e-mail account getting sent to people's Spam folders a lot if you don't want to seem to pushy.

Yup, I would want somewhat of a response.  Even if it's "sounds great, I'll have a new contract ready for you when we speak next week."
