Bridal Party Processional Music

It's getting close to the big day and I need to start figuring out what my girls are going to walk in to.  I want (and always have wanted) to walk down the aisle to Canon in D.  What are/did your bridesmaids walk down the aisle to?

Re: Bridal Party Processional Music

  • Pianist and flute started playing Canon.  Youngest daughter went first, then StepDaughter, then oldest Daughter.  Youngest picked up her violin while sisters entered, and prepared to play.  Brief pause, then piano, flute, and violin all played Canon while I entered w/ Brother.  Basically two 2-minute segments, as the room wasn't that big.  Loved it.If you have live musicians, and can work with them beforehand, Canon is a very repetitive piece and can be looped together to be as long or as short as you want.  My musicians (pianist is a friend, flutist is Daughter's best friend) worked on their favorite parts and created the four minutes that everyone liked best.

  • I love Canon, too but my wedding is 12/13 so I'm doing the Christmas version by Manheim Steamroller. It's really pretty but I guess it wouldn't make sense if you aren't getting married around Christmas like me. lol
