(sorry so crappy) now I am REALLY CONFUSED.The 20% added to your banquet check is a hotel service charge. It is not distributed to our staff as a gratuity, as it covers the hourly wages and labor involved with executing your event. Tipping is discretionary. Customarily, you would tip your maître $1.00-$1.50 per guest. Valet would be tipped by any guests that uses their services for parking; however if you felt they did a great job you are welcome to tip them as well... Your servers can also be tipped if you feel that they did a great job. Once we have your final count, I can tell you how many servers and bartenders will be assigned to your celebration. I will ask our service manager if there is a rule of thumb for them as well.
