Blue shoes for clumsy folk?

Hey! I'm on a quest for blue shoes for the reception.  As much as I'd love to wear the Christian Louboutins in my siggy...truth is...I'd bust my arse.  I don't want flats.  I'm just looking for something cute and royal blue (not navy or turquoise or tiffany blue) that I can walk in.  For me, graceful creature I am, that means they should ideally be under 3 and a half inch heels.  Bye Bye Christian Louboutin! *sniffle*I'm scouring the net as you read this, but figured it was worth a post.   So if, in your travels, you come across any shoes that fit the above criteria...please page me on here and let me know.  I appreciate it!  :)

http://ninashoes.com/special-occasion-143&color=BlueI ordered my shoes from them and they were very comfortable.  The sizing is just like in the stores.

Thanks for the link!  Those are gorgeous.  It ticks me off that most of the beautiful shoes and the designers I like only make goodies for girls who can walk on serious stems.  The 4 and a half inch heels on those bad boys would certainly result in a wedding crash...and not the kind involving Vince Vaughn.  ;)

These are 3 1/2, but it looks like there is a slight platform and they have a really sturdy heel- I love searching for stuff - http://www.zappos.com/product/7574165/color/2743

Caketime, thanks for the link as well!  The Nina shoes are really cute.  Wish they came in royal.

I was talking about these on Just Kris's post.  These are the knock off version of the Manolos you were talking about - too high, but too cute:) http://www.zappos.com/product/7579550/color/8517

kpeteley, thank you!  I love those Bandolinos!  And the Franco Sartos with the peep toe and platform front are exactly what I'm looking for...with the exception of the super chunky heel (what is that about? grrr).  The Bandolinos have been filed under favorites.  Thanks!  Since you love searching for things...if you find something that looks like the Sartos but without a tree stump of a heel...those would be perfect!  I <3 NJ Knot board. :)

Hurricane Jeannine!  That's funny.  So I guess you're another graceful swan like myself? ;) kpeteley...you're a search dynamo!  Yes, *sigh*, the 4 and a quarter inch Valeros are just disasters wrapped in satin for me.

I wish there was a job for searching stuff!  No problem - I will keep my eyes open, you can always do a dyable?  Just a thought.

you might have better luck with dyeables you know. then you can get whatever and dye them the perfect shade :-)

*Doh!Dyeables!  Why didn't I think of that?  That's a great idea and a perfect plan B.  I'm going to hold out hope for a little while that I find a comfortable, platform, royal blue, open or peep toe shoe with a heel under 3 and a half inches.  But the dyeable thing is a great idea in case my oh so specific plan A doesn't work out.  Thanks, gals! :)

I saw someone selling cute ones on TTT but they were too small for me....i think they were from JCREW or Ann Taylor.

Hi JustJen,Yes, those, although I could actually walk in them, are a bit too casual.  I usually don't mind patent...but not for the wedding.  Thank you for the suggestion! :)

I wore the manolo's...like Kristin talked about above and honestly, they weren't hard to walk in at all - I'd order those knock off ones and just try walking around the house - they are gorgeous and everyone at the wedding was raving about them

My best friend wore the Manolo Something Blue shoes.  They're higher than what you're looking for, but seem to be very sturdy.  And they aren't a platform, which would make them easier to walk in.  Well-built 4" heels are easier to walk in than poorly constructed 2.5"ers.

You ladies are probably right.  I should suck it up and practice walking like a grown up in real heels.  If I don't post again for a few days, somebody call the paramedics... ;) I bought my mom a gorgeous pair of 4 inch Via Spigas for her recent wedding.  She then tumbled down the stairs in them, spilling the contents of her purse, and lost the camera I bought her as a wedding present.  Her arm was all yicky and banged up for weeks.  Guess it runs in the family!  lol

I have the manolos too but once i tried them on i was like "Heck no!!"  I can barely walk to the kitchen to even begin to practice in them LOL

I'm going to contact my fashionista aunt and see if I can borrow some well constructed, designer stems. Maybe if I really practice I can do this. I'm so bad...I'm the one who goes out to clubs with my girlfriends wearing flip flops because I can't walk (esp. walk and drink) in anything that's not flat.
