For Sale: Wedding Dress

Hey Ladies – I just wanted to let you know I’m selling my wedding dress.  I wanted to post it here first since everyone is pretty much local to NC and see if anyone is interested.  It’s a Carolina Herrera and it’s from the fall collection 2008 or spring collection 2009 (I’m not entirely sure which one) and we bought it at Alexia’s Bridal Boutique in Cary.  The dress is a size 10, I’m roughly 5’4 and a street size 8 – my shoes were 4 inches tall so the dress could feasibly fit someone up to 5’7 / 5’8 w/flats.   We also altered the neckline from the original design.  The dress can be made strapless by folding the lace over and having a seamstress sew the laced into the fabric.  It has a slight sweetheart neckline that we added, as well, I can provide copies of all the alterations that were made to the dress.  The dress is incredibly light, it’s a silk Mikado and organza underlay fabric, it’s very much a couture dress.   My mom just got it back from the cleaners and said it came back perfectly.  I went over it last time I was home and there were no pulls or tears anywhere on the dress.  If anyone is interested in more details and price please email me at kgaliger at yahoo dot com.  I’ve included the link to the blog pictures from our photographer so you can see pictures of the dress. Thanks! http://www.loganjarrard.com/blog/winston-salem-wedding-photography-jay-kristi/

    Wow - that is AWESOME!  I knew she was coming to look at it but didn't realize she ended up buying it - congrats!

    Thanks! Part of me was a tiny bit sad in a way! I didnt think I would feel that way. But anyway, she was soooo excited and happy and she loved the dress, so that made me feel good, plus getting some cash did not hurt. I kept saying are you sure, do you want to think about it, and she's like, no, no, im taking it... She's going to come back over the summer so that MOH can come over and give her MOH a lesson on how to do the corset and bustle. I totally screwed up the corset on her. lol
