Helping out a friend... Sussex/Morris area 60 people Trying to keep it around $100/110 (including tax and tip) Memorial Weekend Nice ceremony area No Skylands in Randolph, Perona Farms, or Bethwood ready....go... ...oh and I'll apologize now, I've got to post and run.

    curious:  why are those places ruled out?  --ballyowen at crystal springs resort, vernon (i know, that is passaic, but not too far and at that price).  --lake mohawk cc (sparta)

    Vernon is Sussex Count Allie... The Arsenal at Picatinny...if they know someone who works there or have military connections. Lake Mohawk CC - which Allie already recommended. Lafayette House (not sure on price)

    She hated skylands, thought the smaller room at Perona was too cheesey and she's had a close friend recently get married at the bethwood. Her biggest thing is the size. She doesn't want the size of the room to eat up the size of her guest list.

    oh whoops... then yes, that!  lolofficers club at picatinny recently opened their doors to all, you don't need to know someone anymore (although it helps to secure date and good price)

    What about the Valley Regency. We are having 74 people in the smaller room. The ceremony is outside in the garden area.

    I have never been there myself but MH has eaten there and said its nice: bells mansion in I believe netcong.

    Lake Valhalla Club in Montville is very pretty and has a nice, rustic feel. The room has high ceilings but isn't huge.

    The Mansion at Bretton Woods in Morris Plains was the cheapest- $79 pp with tip and gratuity.

    lake mohawk cc...although their website lists prices that are expensive...make an appointment and bargain.their outdoor cocktail area is beautiful it's on the boardwalk overlooking the lake...really nice!  maybe just to a cocktail reception there.
