Shower Thank You Timeline?

So I had my shower on Saturday, the 8th, and I've basically sent out about 2/3 of my thank you's and will probably send out the rest by Saturday.  When I talked to my mom yesterday she seemed baffled that they weren't all done yet (mind you I was out sick from work Tues.) & Wed.I thought that getting them all out (about 40) in one week was pretty damn good, but apparently my mom doesn't think so.  So just curious, what was your timeframe for getting out thank you's for the Shower and/or Wedding???TIA

I think within a month is good for the shower, and up to 2 or 3 months for the wedding. Your mom needs to chill out.

I was really good with my shower, they were all out in a week but I only had to write like 30.My wedding, ugh, I sent out like 30% already but still have a lot to go. It's harder bc I don't know most of these people and don't know what to say. It's been over a month since the wedding.

one week to do about 65....i received some gifts since, so i actually still need to those i am bad

It took me 2 weeks bc I had a lot to do and I though that was quick! I think 1 week is really good.

My timeframe for the wedding is 1 month max after. We shall see about that though.

I had ~65 to write, and they were done in 2ish weeks after the shower (shower was only a month before the wedding and wanted them to get done before last min wedding things came up).  The wedding thank you's are my everest right now... I have like 20 done and have been at a standstill.  Need to finish those before we leave for our HM in 2 weeks.

I want to say I had all mine out by 2 and a half weeks.  I think you're totally fine.

i never understood why people mail them out as they are done~ i would send them all at once.  people talk and might get offended.  just my two cents.

I thought about that and sent them in groups.  All my family, then all fi's family, and now I'll do all the bm's.  None of those people would really talk so I'm not worried.

Yeah, I only sent them out to my friends and my parents friends--these people don't talk to DH's side or my older relatives! no worries there...

I don't think your mom can really be mad that you haven't gotten them done in 5 days.

 I had mine out within 6 days and i got made fun of for being so anal about it. Your mom is wrong. You are well ahead of the game. I'd say within a month is appropriate, although less is better.

I had my shower on the 8th as well and I have only sent out 10 out of the 60 (?) or so I have to send. I think if I get them all out within a month it'll be okay. That's amazing that you sent that many out within the wk.
