Hi!  I saw in the post below that you recommend Newport, RI for a weekend getaway.  DH and I are thinking of going there over Labor Day weekend for my birthday.  Do you have any suggestions of where to stay, eat, etc.?  Thanks so much!

    Marriott is nice and close to everything so you can walk. It has a pool too. There are so many B&B's if you want to stay at one. The Black Pearl is one of my favorite restaurants and I like The Mooring.  If you are going to go the beach I like 2nd beach the best.Def go on the Cliff Walk, see some of the mansions and drive along Ocean Drive.

    The Newport Harbor Hotel is nice too and right by the Marriott.
