just scheduled an appt with Olga....

My wedding is May 19, 2012... and I recently got my dress!! I want to get a corset back put in the back of my dress, turn my neckline into a sweetheart, and get the length of my dress altered a bit since it is a little long.  I called to schedule an appointment with Olga and she scheduled me to drop the dress off April 2nd.
For those of you who have worked with Olga, do you think that will give her enough time to complete those alterations before my May 19th wedding?

    Hi. I just want to say my wedding is on May 19th too! haha I'm not using Olga though, I only need my dress hemmed so I'm going somewhere more local (she's an hour and a half drive)

    That's plenty of time. She works quickly and wonderfully.
    I had my dress come in mid January. Had to get alterations done due to it being a little too long and needing a bustle. My wedding was Feb 20. Everything was fine.

    Trust her, she knows what she's doing. If she didnt think she would have time, she would have scheduled you to come in earlier.

    She did all of my alterations in less than a week. I dropped it off with her on one Sunday and picked it up on the next Sunday. She's wonderful.

    My wedding was May 21st of this year. I took my dress to her for the first time on May 2nd, went back on that saturday May 7th for the first fitting, and her to figure out how I wanted it bustled, went back for the final fitting and to pick up May 14th. It was perfect. I normally don't fluctuate in weight but I lost weight the week of because of stress and it was a little big the day of but she did an amazing job.

    So in my experience if you have a fitted dress or slinky dress, wait as long as possible to get it altered cuz you may gain or lose weight at the last minute.

    Wow I'm getting married May 19th also (yay!) and haven't even thought about making an alterations appointment yet. Is Olga really that popular that I should be making an appointment with her soon? I'm going to need at least a serious hem, bustle, and alteration around the chest area on my dress.

    She does book very easily...I called in January to get my dress altered for my December wedding and the first available appt was August 5th (next week!). I'd call her :)
