Not really sure of anyone that has been married there, but you can page Cara (BallandChain)  - she is getting married there in March 2010.  I went there for a bridal show - very pretty.  Congrats

Everything is newly renovated and they just changed their catering to Merri Makers (which is ok, not great, but still comperable to others in the area).  All the rooms, each of the ball rooms that is, were gorgeous and none of them would I have dismissed if I were having a wedding there. But there are plenty to choose from for all sized weddings so you shouldn't have any problems regarding your guest list. My only big problem is the parking. Although they have valet parking, I was a little scared of the area. But other than that, the rooms are quite lovely and the old vintage ambiance can't be beat! You will have a gorgeous wedding/reception and the photo ops are endless! As for the fireplace, it usually is the focal point of the room, so I suggest a nice garland of beautiful seasonal flowers and greens with maybe some lighted topiaries on the sides. It will be both romantic and make for great pictures, too.

well we are using Falco's catering they have been awesome and met our budget with a great menu. I heard not so good things about merrimakers and fortunately they are not the exclusive caterers. I finaly got up to Jersey and saw the space and changed the rooms we were doing everything in. The ceremony is in the oval room (so no fireplace which poses another dilemna as there is a chandelier in the center of the room but there is a niche on the wall that just screams get married in front of me) so that is the newest dilemna. The cocktail hour is in the versailles room which is super cute. I figure since out wedding takes places 50% in daytime we should utilize the natural of those two room. I was thinking about doing the ceremony in the center room but the bridal party is way too big for that.
