Follow up VENT: Bridals by Roma (long)

So in case you forgot or didn't know Bridals by Roma ordered my dress in the wrong size, wouldn't admit it and wouldn't fit me for it when I first went ( in July). They told me to lose weight and come back. They totally blamed it on me. So I go Tuesday this week and guess what still tight just as I knew it would be.  The seamstress admits they ordered the wrong size, after me proving them wrong by trying on the sample and it fitting perfectly.  She went to get the manager, but she was "busy" and then when she came out she wouldn't make eye contact with us.  So now I have to go next tuesday and the dress will be let out two whole inches!!! The seamstress said it was to late to order another one, but I could of had a new one in July!!! These people are freaking horrible!! They have to add beading as well to my hand beaded dress!!!!! I am so farking pissed off I can't even describe it.  Do not go there I don't want this to happen to anybody else

I am super sorry to hear that!  At least they admitted it.  My first fitting at Bridals by Roma was a few weeks ago, went great for me...but I think if would have been hysterical if I was in your shoes!I am sure after they fix it all, the dress will be gorgeous so don't worry too much.  Are they giving you any sort of refund? free vail? something?  ...a really long and heartfelt apology note???

That really is terrible.  At your next fitting make sure it looks how you want it.  Don't settle...make sure they get this right!

I am so sorry you had that experience. That is terrible and Roma should be ashamed. I went there months ago to try on dresses and vowed I wouldnt go back. I hope for your sake everything works out but I would also never recommend that place either.

I can't believe they told you to lose weight.  That's so rude! Sorry for your bad experience with them.  :(

I had the same experience with a BM dress from there. I know it's two "different" shops, but she blamed it on me. The dress was actually waaaay too big so she told me to go eat a doughnut.

Not that this is your fault for them ordering the wrong size dress and they were so rude for treating you that way but why did you not insist back in July that they fix it and order you a new one, rush on them?  Why wait over 2 months, especially when all of us told you to go right back and have it reordered?

I first went ( in July). They told me to lose weight and come back. They totally blamed it on me. So I go Tuesday this week...And you listened to them?  If I even thought they were suggesting that I lose weight, let alone if they came right out and said it, that would have been the last words they said to me right before they refunded me my money. Not that you can do anything about it now and it seems like they are going to be fixing your dress, but I would definitely get some money back or something from them. Stand up for yourself!

That's horrible! I'm so sorry that happened to you. I would definitely not pay for the alternations. They should do the alterations for free since its their fault!
