Everyday Dinnerware, what did you chose?

What did you choose to register for for your everyday dinnerware? Did you choose sets or individual pieces? Did you get all of your dishes as gifts or did you have to buy the rest after the wedding?

I picked out a box of like 16 pieces (I think) and its got a small plate, big plate, bowl, and a mug. So it will serve four people I asked for two sets so I could feed 8.Not married yet so I can't answer the 2nd part of the question.

We registered for this set (which I'm now seeing is Out Of Stock, booooooo): http://www.bedbathandbeyond.com/product.asp?order_num=-1&wrn=-549170855&SKU=118668The lady at BB&B who helped us register suggested to register for 12 settings (4 pieces per setting), because she said we'll likely only get about 6 or 8. Haven't had my shower yet so I can't comment on your last question.

We chose sets for everyday.  But we also registered for china. If we didn't register for china, I probably would have registered for individual pieces that are a bit nicer than the boxed sets.We got two sets of our boxed sets at my shower (enough for 8 place settings).

We choose a set from Williams-Sonoma.  Brasserie Blue.  We got most of it as shower gifts, but bought some stragglers after the wedding. It is this: http://www.williams-sonoma.com/products/d033/index.cfm?pkey=xsrd0m1%7C16%7C%7C%7C0%7C%7C%7C%7C%7C%7C%7Cbrasserie%20blue&cm%5Fsrc=SCH

I registered for Lenox Tin Can Alley in blue for our everyday, which is individual.  I didn't have a ton of stuff to register for, so I registered for nicer everyday stuff as well as formal china.  I am so glad I did.  I got all of the dinner plates (12) from my dad's boss as wedding gift and some of the accent plates as well as serving pieces as shower gifts.  I used my registry rewards from Macy's to order the remaining accent plantes and the bowls.  Haven't purchased the mugs yet, but don't really need them right now anyways. http://www.lenox.com/cat/index.cfm?fuseaction=prod&&Ns=whatsnew_sort&N=0&No=0&rs2=1&Ntt=tin%20can%20alley&pid=15391&kf=1

I found everyday dishes on super sale at Fortunoff before they closed so my aunt bought them for me for my shower (which has not happened yet). However, if I did not find these, we would have probably picked a set because we registered for china.  A lot of the individual pieces I liked seemed to be pretty expensive and i wouldn't want to register for two expensive dish sets.

We registered for 16 place settings of Pottery Barn's "Emma" in yellow and received all of it. We also registered for (and received) the matching serving bowls, butter dish, creamer, sugar bowl, platters, etc.

We registered for a 8 place settings of every day dishes from Crate and Barrel along with platters, mugs, etc.  We received all of our dishes as an engagement gift my parents already and some other side items as engagement gifts as well.  We did not register for fine china as we have a set from FI's grandmother and I will also receive the set my parents have one day.

We registered for everyday plates at Bloomingdales.  We are not registering for formal china.  Here is what it looks like.  You can mix and match between colors (comes in blue, beige, and green), as well as more ornate white pieces.I wish that what we liked came in a set, as it would be easier for our guests to purchase it.  I haven't had a shower yet, so we haven't received any plates yet. http://www1.bloomingdales.com/catalog/product/index.ognc?ID=233344&PseudoCat=se-xx-xx-xx.esn_results

We registered for Mikasa everyday dinnerware.  It's called Chocolate Swirl.  I forget how many settings are in each box, but we only ordered two as I have existing everyday dinnerware from Mikasa from when I worked there.  We got both sets during our engagement party :)
