I already offered that suggestion. FI gets motion sickness apparently. It's too bad, cause that seemed like it would be his best option, being adament on Hawaii. How did you like the cruise, speaking of? Did you feel that you had enough time everywhere and didn't miss out on staying at hotels?

Melissa, FI and I are thinking of a Mediterranean cruise so I'd be interested in your experience cruising around Hawaii. Of course, is not the same as cruising Europe but is just like Hawaii, so much to see you know?

I loved it! We got to see a few different islands, go on cool excursions and stay on 2 islands overnight. Plus it was the most cost effective way to see Hawaii for us.Staying on the ship was pretty much like staying in a hotel. And the night before we cruise left and the night before we went home we stayed in Waikiki at a resort so we got to experience that as well.

Mishy, we are looking at Royal Caribbean-Brilliance of the Seas. How about you guys?We leave out of Barcelona, Spain then on to France, Italy, Greece and Turkey.

We already booked through Princess.  It leaves from Barcelona, stops in Monaco, 2 places in Turkey, 2 places in Greece, and 4 places in Italy (we disembark in Venice).  This is the actual link to the itinerary - http://www.princess.com/pb/itineraryDetails.do?voyageCode=R013N&trade=EWe weren't really picky about locations within the Mediterranean, but we saw Monaco and thought that would be a fun place to stop that we probably would never think of going in the future.  I can't wait to say that I've gambled in Monte Carlo...:0)

That's the one we were originally looking at but we couldn't afford a balcony. For the price of an obstructed view in Princess, we got a balcony in RCL. I really wanted to go to Monte Carlo though

RE:  Hawaii  - I am sure you are already planning it, but Pearl harbor is definitely a must visit.  Also, perhaps a helicoptor ride?

mscutieri(did I spell that right?)-Monaco is amazing as is the casino in Monte Carlo! Not sure what time of year you are going but there is a dress code to get into the casino so make sure you check on that before you go. I was with two friends and they wouldnt let one in jeans in with us. We were there for a few days so we could go back the next day but I imagine it is a little more difficult to get back to the ship to change. (and I dont mean to say that you given any impression that you would dress inappropriately I just wanted to give you theheads up in case your travel agent didnt)

FutureMrsF111- Thank you so much for that hint.  My travel agent hadn't told me that (at least not yet) and I would definately want to know something like that when I'm getting dressed for the day.  We are going in July and I planned on packing a lot of cute dresses and stuff so I'll be all prepared.  Thanks for the ehads up! :0)

Yusi-  yeah, it is expensive and we are actually getting an obstructed view cabin (with the request for an upgrade if it's available).  It was more important to us to see Monte Carlo (we are big gamblers) than to have a balcony that we'll barely spend any time on, but that's just us.  I think that we will both have fantastic experiences and I really can't wait to hear how your trip was after you get back.  When are you planning on going?

Our wedding is Friday April 23rd and we plan on flying to Barcelona on April 29th and spend 3 night there. We embark on Monday the 3rd (Fi birthday).....Do you know of the website www.cruisecritic.com you can get lots of info there and research each port....When are you going?

Too bad we are not sailing until july 16th. I thought it might be cool if we happened to be in any of the same ports at the same time and we could have an international knottie g2g. ;o)

Mishy, that would have been really cool. LOL We actually wanted to wait couple months later but we figured that July/August would be too hot and we can't be on the sun/heat for long (doc orders). First week in May should be fine, I hope!
