Shred updates anyone?

I managed to do my 2nd workout this morning, definitely wasn't any easier than yesterday. The elevator is my new best friend today since the thought of stairs brings me to tears!

    Not yet...I have to go today to get the video at walmart hopefully. I had class last night after work and didn't feel like stopping on the way home.

    I didn't do it last night... had a dress fitting instead.  Tonight going out to dinner for my mom's bday.  Life is getting in the way of shredding!  I'll try to do it Saturday a.m.

    I think I am going to pick it up this weekend.  Hoepfully, I will have something to report back on Monday.

    Mine is not even in the DVD player, so you win ;-)I'm in week 7 of the Couch to 5k training thing, so finishing that is my current goal. But man do I suck at running.

    Woot woot - tonight will be the 4th shred in a row.  Yesterday was my worst day feeling wise, but after I shredded it last night - I have been feeling better.  This morning I was able to get out of bed without struggling too much.  I am still in pain, but definately see a change for the best in the hurt.  Steph - soo true, I wish I had an elevator!

    i didn't shred last night either - hopefully tomorrow! seabass - i love your new siggy too - i know exactly where it was taken!  we used to be neighbors!  before i moved to the shore i lived in Jacob's Ferry :)

I get tired thinking about running a 5K let alone actually doing it! I was a jumper when I was on the track team and don't think I ever ran more than a mile at a time if that.

    What's shredding?  I'm interested.I'm going back to the gym tonight for a hip hop class.  Hopefully it's not cheesy and that I sweat a lot.  Need to tone it up.

    acablitas  - go buy 30 Day Shred by Jillian Michaels.  you'll definitely sweat!  She's the trainer from The Biggest Loser and she has her own workout dvds.  Shred is an intense 20 minute workout combining strength (need 5lbs weights), cardio, and ab workouts.

    heh... Seabass you strategically did not quote the part where I suck at running. I do it, but I'm slow and wheezy and sweaty ;-P

    I am into my 2nd week of doing it (I have a bet with one of my friends with who will give up first...and it is NOT going to be me)...and it does get easier after the first week.  Or my muscles get used to being abused...whichever.  After the first day, it was painful to get out of bed...but I found the more I moved around, the better I felt.  The stairs, even though it was a bit painful, did help because it stretched out the muscles.  All I can suggest is to stretch out before hand, and after.  More so then they do in the video.  And keep moving as much as possible.

    Jen ~ haha as long as your moving you're doing much better than most people!Holly ~ That's the reason why I do it in the morning. Figure even though I'm not that active during the work day it's more activity then what it would be if I did it at night. Good luck with your bet!

    lol...I do it in the morning because I am half asleep while doing it.  Plus, if I wait until after school/work, I end up coming up with a million other things that "need" to be done.

    Thanks Danielle!  I'll look into it.  Sounds like I will probably cry after the first day.  But it will be worth it. :)
