Help me be gift grabby please

My friend just texted me "is there anything that's not on your registry that you really want?" My first instinct is to say No, but I'm assuming she's asking because my shower is coming up and either she doesn't want to get me something off of the registry or there's nothing left. (I’m thinking it's the former)So what kind of suggestions should I give her? Having trouble thinking out of the box (i.e. only kitchen & bath items come to mind)

How about a nice serving platter or something that you could use for when you have company? Or just say "something that would come in handy for hosting parties", etc.

If you plan on hosting holiday (Thanksgiving, Christmas) gatherings (or not hosting, if you just like decorating), themed items. I got Pfaltzgraff Winterberry candle holders and a big bowl, a huge Christmas-themed serving bowl and matching pasta bowls and some other items I am blanking on b/c my shower was right before Thanksgiving and my wedding was right after Christmas. Also, as a wedding gift we got a set of wedding-themed Christmas ornaments. Also, my mom filled up Rubbermaid bins of assorted holiday items, but we were engaged for 18 months so she collected it over time. I just put out our fiber optic pumpkin and a Lenox scarecrow candy dish. Or what about a lamp/light fixture? Piece of artwork? Wooden snack trays (I use mine all the time!), a small table or ottoman?

You could always register for more stuff - maybe at a different store, and let her know that you just added a registry. I have definintely been in her position - I have an unfortunate habit of waiting to tehe last minute to buy the goft and then all the good stuff is gone - you are left with either something that is just too expensive or a bunch of random things.Did you register for things like beer mugs, a great rabbit bottle opener, decanter, bar stuff?  Maybe some really cool highball glasses, etc?  These are always fun to buy for people and they are not terribly expensive.  Pottery barn and crate and barrel have good stuff. Maybe add on something from amazon - how about a flip videocamera or an underwater camera?  You can also register for wine, if you are into that.  I know some people don't like them, but if you already have your honeymoon booked, maybe think about a honeymoon registry.  Personally, I owuld love to purchase something off of this for a friend, becuase I would like to contribute to them having a great time on their Honeymoon.

i had a couple friends ask me this and it wasnt b/c my registry was completed - they wanted to get me some stuff i needed now... i said i needed honeymoon stuff - and they ended up making me a huge gift basket of everything we needed to take with us to jamaica and included a "honeymoon" photo album for us - it had some clothes, just married flip flops, just married tote bags, Game Over tshirt for Mike, and a Just Married Tank top for me- and lots of misc stuff like sunscreen, bug spray, waterproof camera, etc... we loved it
