    I stayed at Treasure Island!

I stayed in both, the Flamingo is on the older side, but the rooms were ok, just ok, they have a gorgeous pool area and gardens with flamigos and turtles and lots of fish and birds. Treasure Isl is a nicer, newer hotel, those rooms were nice.. But the Ventetian is by far nicer than both, the rooms are 2 room suites.

I have never stayed at either one of those, but if I had to choose I would choose TI.  If you can get into the Venetian then I would totally do that!  How long are you there for?  If you can see any of the Cirque shows I totally recommed KA in MGM and Mystre which is in TI.  Love gets great reviews, but I have never seen it myself.

I'd stay at TI.  It's more popular and younger than Flamingo

Oh I guess my reply wasn't that helpful. I liked TI, very nice hotel however the concierge led us astray and told us to go see Zumanity....not a fan! it's was like cirque de sole the x-rated version. Don't get me wrong nothing wrong with some good old fashioned soft porn but I just really wasn't expecting it. If I was planning a trip to Vegas right now I would want to stay at the Wynn. It looks pretty amazing. But you can't go wrong with most of the hotels on the main strip especially the venetian (my mom stayed there and LOVED it. shopoholic's paradise).

I saw Mystere (another version of Cirque du Soleil).  It was cheaper than "O" which I hear is amazing, but kinda pricey.  I can recommend Mystere.  Zumanity was not up my alley either!  Oh and if you can (and want to splurge), eat at Paris for their brunch.... so good.

Cher - KA is outstanding!  I absoulty loved it and I saw it with my parents and a friends parents that were very skeptical about it and they ended up loving it.  You have to walk to strip at least once you can see some pretty cool things.  The rollorcoaster at NY NY is not worth the money at all especially because we have Six Flags in our back yard.  Oh and you have to go downtown at least once to see the light show and the Golden Nugget.  Other then that one night down there is enough.  Check out the Las Vegas site you will probably still have some really good shows there at that time.  When I was there over New Years a couple years ago I got to see Vince Vaughn's Wild Wild West show it was freakin hilarious!

"O" IMO is not worth the money at all.  Check out KA or Mystre also Love if your hubby is a big Beatles fan.

I stayed at NY NY - it was very nice there, but towards the end of the strip. I have never been to either one of the ones you mention, but given a choice I would want something more in teh middle of the strip, like the Venitian, Paris, Planet Hollywood. Check out http://www.vegas.com/ found a really good deal on there when I went. I went to see Zumanity, and loved it! I heard that "O" has a waiting list for the show. If you want to reviews of things I did, etc, I will post a link in my blog.

stayed at the Mirage which is next door to TI, and basically right in the center of the strip.  both are nice hotels (same owners, i think) and Cirque du Soleil has shows right in TI, at least they did when i was there a few years back.  if you get the chance there is a restaurant Bouchon, which i believe is in the Venetian, and the food was amazing.  have fun.

I've stayed at MGM, Excalibur, Treasure Island and Bally's. Of them all I would not reco Excalibure but the others were all good. I use to go out there alot when my brothers lived there.

never stayed at TI. stayed at flamingo, and it was fine.  older rooms, but kind of classic, old vegas style.  smokey casino but beautiful pool grounds.  i hate buffets so i can't speak to it.  close to everything since very central, and typically cheap rooms.my fave hotel is mandalay although end of strip makes it not as accessible.  worst is tropicana by far.   most disgusting place ever.
