makeup question

So my hairdresser of like 10 years is going to do my hair and makeup for the wedding. She says she will use my own makeup. I want to go for a trial next month, and figure I should buy new makeup maybe in different colors so I don't look the same I do every day.Anyone have makeup recommendations? What did you do? Should I go somewhere and have them try it on me? I currently wear bare minerals, but I worry it won't stay on for the whole day of the wedding.Thanks!

I would try out all sorts of different brands and see what works.  What works for one person isn't going to work for another, particularly when you're talking about foundation because that is so dependent on skin type.I would go to Sephora or Blue Mercury probably, because the people who work there aren't tied to one brand or another.  They'll be more impartial.  You may also want to compare them to a Mac counter, because they don't sell Mac but lots of people have good luck with Mac for event makeup.

I did my own makeup for my wedding. Two things I would highly reccomend gettong is the the Makeup Forever HD Foundation, and the Makeup Forever translusant setting powder. It photographs beautifully. Go to Sephora and have them try it out on you. The people that work there are super helpful so don't be afraid to ask and tell them what your looking for.
