NWR: Laptops

PLEASEEEE Can someone reccomend a really well constructed, user friendly laptop that I can use for a small business?  Basically, I use it for (the Knot of course), internet browsing, MS Office (word, excel, pp), Quickbooks and Outlook - my coworker plans to convert my desktop to the office server so I should be good with not having to hold tons of filesMy computer @ work is ridiculously old and basically worthless and if I don't get a new one soon I'll probably quit of mere frustration. I've been looking and am thinking of getting a Sony Vaio Z series --No Dell's and must be a PC (preferably not Vista)...Advice, rec's, comments?

Do you need to travel with it?  If so I'd get something lightweight and around 15"  If you are just going to use it in the home, go with a 17" widescreen.  We just got an HP and it's really nice.  Vista sucks though, our PC has 4 gigs of ram and it still feels slower than my desktop which only has 2 gigs and a slower processer (running xp).

I have a dell with vista, no problems at all, got it early this year, I got a docking station and a bigger monitor, so when it is docked it is like having a desktop

Not sure about brands or anything but I will say that getting a computer from sams club or costco is really great. I think ours is a Dell and my moms is a Gateway.  I know we each paid about 200 less then anywhere else we could find them. Plus they both have 6 month return policies for any reason so if you hate it you can get something different. I think mine is from Sams Club and my moms is from Costco- might be the other way around but we both got great deals.

Ah, see, I was gonna say Dell.  Love mine & just ordered another 'cause they're on sale.  And ALL PCs right now are pretty much Vista, but with a free upgrade when the new Windows comes out.
