Hey -- sorry I missed your post - I'm not on here much anymore. Yes, the DOC I won totally bailed on me. I never did reviews and I felt bad calling her out on it on here because she was going through some family problems, but it was no excuse for her total lack of professionalism for MONTHS, not just right before my wedding. I have a friend who is an awesome wedding planner, so I'm not bashing planners in general at all, in fact I can totally see why they are useful. But in my situation, I was relying on a stranger DOC that I won in a contest to help me out with a whole lot of things I didn't want to deal with and the one thing I asked her to take ownership of (my Polaroid guestbook) she couldn't even buy for me and help me out with.....and then completely ignored me for a week before my wedding until finally calling me back the day before my rehearsal to tell me everything going on in her life and why she hadn't returned my numerous calls and e-mails.Again, I don't want to bash anyone, so if people want to e-mail me more questions, my e-mail is my knottie name
@hotmail.Just be careful who you rely on, and ALWAYS have a backup plan. Luckily I stayed calm and my family/friends did everything for me (setting up candles, guestbook, sand ceremony, bathroom baskets, flip flop baskets, watching the card box, etc etc etc) so I was totally better off without her -- but it caused me lots of anger and stress right before my wedding. Word of advice -- no matter what you pay, always get a contract.
