Anyone ever feel like...

You wanted to just throw your hands up and say...I am eloping?  I just get so stressed about $, etc that I wanted to just throw in the towel sometimes.  I know I would regret it though if I did.  I just feel like there is so much pressure to have this BIG fabulous wedding and I am just not like that. I just needed to vent...thanks Ladies.

    Yes! I threaten my parents with it from time to time because since I'm the first child getting married, they are going above and beyond with their suggestions and opinions.

    yes, I said from the beginning we have a HUGE budget, 28K, so every little thing absolutely cannot be an extra $500, and guess what every single vendor so far has been an extra $500. And since we are paying ourselves, very stressful

    hate to break it to you Brad, but by "NJ" standards, you have a very 'average' budget. Though I agree with you that for me, spending that much on one day was huge too.I never felt that way, but MH did. However, it was moreso family stress that made him feel that way than the expense.

    Me too, Cheryl.  It gets so draining on me sometimes.  And I feel bad because my dad will be in the middle because usually it is my mom with the demands. I tell her, please let me just enjoy this process. And Sin, I agree with your above statement too!

    Thanks for letting me know I am not crazy for feeling this way.  Our families are not really a source of stress, so that is nice.  I think I put a lot of the stress on myself by thinking I HAVE to do things  a certain way, when I am not really like that.  I think like "what if no one dances..." I know that is so silly to think, but I do.  I also hate how much money it is for ONE day, but at the same time, I can not imagine not having a wedding.  We have the $ to pay for it, I just dont want to be left with little in our savings when all is said and done.  I like my saftey net :).

    Angie, I agree, I feel like I am just a normal person, not Heidi and Spencer, how can I justify spending $30K in ONE DAY!!!!  That is why we planned a long engagement, so we can budget and save accordingly.  It just seems overwhelming to spend that much in a day.

    we have the same date!  i feel like that alot. its alot of detail and planning.  there are days that i wish it was here already!
